Arnold Palmer - A Golf Icon
Arnold Palmer - the man of many sides. He's a legend Golf figure, a
sportsman, an aviator, a well-known product spokesman, a golf course
designer, a consultant and best of all - a highly successful
businessman.
This famous celebrity is an icon in the golfing world. And, his
world revolves around Golf. Over his professional career, Arnie has won
92 championships and millions in earnings.
He is president of "Arnold Palmer enterprises", a multi-division
corporation. He's involved in automobile and aviation services
businesses.
Arnie is the sole owner of the Latrobe Country Club, located in
Latrobe, Pennsylvania and is a principal owner of the Bay Hill Club &
Lodge in Orlando, Florida.
This 68 year old golf giant is the major stockholder in the Arnold
Palmer Golf Company, a sporting goods company which manufactures many
products for the leisure industry, particularly the golfing field.
For those of you avid golfers who watch the Golf Channel on
television, Arnie is the president of the board of directors for this
channel.
Another part of his busy business life includes the designing of
championship golf courses and the management of some of them. Since the
mid-1960s, he and his company has designed more than 125 golf courses
around the world.
Age is no barrier for Arnie, he's still a huge draw every time he
appears in the Senior PGA tournament and he's more active than ever
making his mark in the business field. His legend lives on.
